QUICK INSTRUCTIONS FOR MORE ADVANCED PC USERS

Step 1.: Copy the text you want to get rid of onto the clipboard. (If you wish to only write some text, then skip this step.)

Step 2.: Open Recyclegen site and go to "Enter" to open the pasting page.

Step 3.: Give the title of your entry. This title will appear in big bold letters on the "View the latest" page and on the "Search Results" page later. So, choose your title carefully.

Step 4.: In the box "Email or name" enter your email or your name. Remember, Recyclegen is a private, family website, with no sponsors and no affiliations. So your email is not going to be used by anyone else. The only people that will see your email is the genealogy researchers using Recyclegen. Imagine your long lost cousin found your entry and could not contact you !

Step 5.: In the "Genealogy related text only" box, paste the text from the clipboard (or write some text).

Step 6.: In the "Comments to Recyclegen" box, you have to enter a comment before proceeding to the Submit button. This obligatory entry will be removed in due course, but for now we do like to see what people think of the site!

Step 7.: Submit and wait for the confirmation page.

Step 8.: Wait a few seconds (even though the confirmation page is fully loaded) and then click on return to the contents page where you will see the latest entries, yours being on the top.

The Search page is a standard search of the whole site including the archives, one word or more words, but no wildcards.
