Father Cornelius Driscoll Mother Elizabeth Burns Born James Driscoll
15.12.1880 in Cardiff, South Wales.
Peerless Jim Driscoll was a master in the art of boxing from Edwardian days
until after
World War I.
He did his apprenticeship in the fairground booths and became the Featherweight
Champion of Britain.
Career: 1901 - 1919
Died of tuberculosis at the age of 44 on the 30.01.1925.
Over 100,000 people lined the streets of Cardiff, as his funeral procession passed through the city.
The nuns of Nazareth still tend his grave in remembrance of his charitable work.
